So, by way of a quick background summary, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect coffee fragrance oil for about 2 years. I took a look through my oil inventory before writing this review and I counted 18 coffee oils I’ve tried during that time. EIGHTEEN!!! Crazy, right? None of them were what I was looking for. They were either too weak or had a very acrid, burnt smell. Enter Coffee & Milk Clouds … and finally perfection!!! It’s strong, smooth, slightly milky (just enough to add a lactonic note that is so lovely), and works beautifully with other oils. The notes as listed above are dead on. In particular, I pick up roasted coffee beans, freshly ground coffee, and a hot cup of strong, caffeinated joe with a splash of milk. It’s very much like standing at the counter of a small upscale cafe and smelling the orders as they’re prepared from the roasting of the beans to the addition of milk and sugar. Which brings me to something I really appreciate about this oil: the cocoa element brings everything together without standing out as a strong, sweet note, which I find to be the perfect way of incorporating it. The hint of sweetness in this oil is just that — a hint. It smells natural and not at all like a masking agent used to cover up the singed, chemical smell coffee oils tend to feature. As for performance of the oil, it’s fantastic. Both CT and HT in coconut wax were remarkable. I made a 5 oz tester, lit it one room and could smell it across the house in about 30 minutes. That’s insanely good throw. I feel like a kid in a candy factory now that i have this oil to use in all these blends I’ve had in my head for the past two years but have been unable to play with. THANK YOU SO MUCH for creating this oil — it’s the answer to all my fragrance oil prayers.
